On Feb. 23, 1939, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Henry & Eola were traveling on an "L" Municipal Railroad (streetcar) westbound on Market Street when Henry collapsed. He was taken by ambulance to Central Emergency Hospital where he was pronounced DOA at 3:47 p.m. He was under the care of Dr. A. Sonnenberg for a heart ailment. Henry was described as 5'9.5", 141 lbs with blue eyes & gray hair.

At the time of his passing, he was retired, married to Eola & resided at 64 Hartford St., San Francisco, CA.

He [Henry] is survived by his wife Eola M. Cyrus; an only daughter, Mrs. Irene Martin; two granddaughters, Mrs. Maybelle Paetzel and Miss Wilma Read; a great-grandson, Grant Giodanni; and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Mary Sherwood and Mrs. Elizabeth Wright of Calistoga; Mrs. Grace Crouch of San Francisco; and J.W. Cyrus of Napa.

Funeral services were held in San Francisco Saturday under the auspices of Pacific Lodge of Odd Fellows with interment following at Greenlawn Cem.

Those attending the funeral from Calistoga were Mr. & Mrs. Milton Sherwood, Mrs. G.R. Wright, Mrs. C.A. Carroll and Mrs. R.P. Winston.
