George M. Myers, eighty years old resident of Portville for seventy years passed away at his home on Temple Street, Tuesday evening after a long illness.
Mr. Myers was born in Beaver, Pa. April 4, 1852, and came to Portville at the age of ten. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church that village, and Portville Lodge F. and A. M.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Florence Doan Myers, one son, Joseph Myers, Albany; one brother James Myers Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the home and at two-thirty o'clock from the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. George F. Loehr, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
