Born Sept. 10, 1943, in Pekin to Walter Edward and Maxine Marie Reh Berger, she married Clyde Aberle Jr. on Aug. 6, 1967, in Pekin. He died Feb. 3, 1982, in Pekin.
She also was preceded in death by her father; two infant sons and one infant daughter.
Surviving are her mother; three daughters, Tonya Aberle and Tiffany (Dwight Krisher) Aberle and Shannon (David Holley) Aberle; one son, Clyde Allen Aberle; six grandchildren, Clyde David Smith, Larry Dean Matthew Smith, Celeste Rose Clark, Jade Ashlynn Clark, Amanda Blaze Aberle and Cody Mason Krisher and one brother, Jack (Mildred) Berger. She also leaves her fiancé and longtime companion, William Badgerow.
A homemaker, Colleen enjoyed cooking.
She actively attended Creve Coeur Church of the Nazarene.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Richard Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
