.
Wife of Rev. Clark Kendrick, whom she married on Sept. 10, 1802, in Poultney, Rutand, VT, and with whom she had 8 known children:
Lucia Ann Kendrick
Marina Kendrick
Adolphus Davenport Kendrick
Asahel Clark Kendrick
Hannah Kendrick
Samuel Stillman Kendrick
Judson Adoniram Kendrick
James Ryland Kendrick
.
Note: Esther's death record indicates that she died in Poultney. Her husband and two daughters are buried here in the East Poultney Cemetery, as are her parents. I suspect, then, that the fragmented stone beside that of her husband may be hers. [Some have imagined it to be a child's stone, but the sentiments on the epitaph seem too mature for a child. If it is the stone of a "child," then I suspect that it belongs to daughter Hannah Kendrick, who died in 1837, age 25, and for whom no stone has been found.]

[illegible]us dust lies
mouldering here
Thy soul is rangeing
mong the spheres.
Gravesite Details
2011: What is left of this stone is face down and badly sugared. It was raised for the photograph, but the surface was not cleaned because it was too fragile. 2016: The stone was completely sugared except for a small portion of the inscription.
