Mrs. Eunice C. Hopkins, age 102, of Soperton passed away peacefully on Monday morning, February 3, 2020 at the Treutlen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

A native and lifelong resident of Treutlen County, she had worked as a machine operator at Soperton Manufacturing and was a representative for Sarah Coventry Jewelry.

Mrs. Hopkins was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, sewing, yard work, and tending to her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Stella Steptoe Coleman; her husband, William Alvie Hopkins; four siblings, Jack, Sam, Morris and Lucille Holton Coleman; and two grandchildren, Melena Arrington and Paul Toler.

She leaves behind her two children, Virginia Hopkins Toler (Frank) and Utah Arrington; a sister, Julia Odeen Greenwood; two grandchildren, Deborah Toler (Lanny) Durden and Nickie Arrington; four great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Lacey and Lance Durden, Christy Arrington Cullum; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 5th from the graveside in Westview Cemetery with Reverend Mark Sweat officiating. Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Utah Arrington.
