Services for Olney Knight, 92, of Lufkin, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James McKeehan and Rev. A. C. Hoke officiating and burial in Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. Knight died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1892 at Newton and had lived in Angelina County for 13 years. He was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors: wife, Ella; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marie Yates and Mrs. Geneva Lewis; sons, Paul A. and John H. Knight; step-sons, M. L., Archie and Louis Renfro; step-daughters, Mrs. Katherine Nerren, Mrs. Juanita Loving and Mrs. Sallie Havard; brother, Edgar Knight; sister, Jewel Martin; grandson, Steve Knight; granddaughter, Mrs. Novely Turner; great-grandchildren, Lee and Anne Turner; several step-grandchildren.
