John Frank Coody, 81, died in Oklahoma City at 12:40 a.m. on Saturday August 31.
Mr. Coody was a retired carenter. He was born in Blanton, Texas on June 2, 1876 and moved to McCulloch Co. in 1908. He has lived in Oklahoma City since 1923. He married Miss Sallie Early on July 31, 1897.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clara Kennedy of Covington; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Covington Church of Christ on Sunday, September 1, at 3 p.m. with the minister Mr. Frank Brincoe officiating. Burial was in the Blanton Cemetery.
