FRANK E. LORETTE
Funeral services for Frank E. Lorette, 53, of 24 Bethpage Drive, Bethel, Conn., a native and former resident of Bennington, who died Sunday night at Danbury, Conn., Hospital after a long illness, will be held at 7 pm Wednesday at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. Burial will be in the Bennington Village Cemetery at a later date.
Born April 2, 1921 to the late Frank E. and Nora (Carpenter) Lorette of Bennington, he was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1941 to '45 in the South Pacific. After the war he returned to Bennington, then moved to Norwalk, Conn., and from there went to Bethel in 1964. He was employed by the Amaral Co. in Newtown, Conn., and retired about two years ago because of illness. He belonged to the Methodist Church in both Bennington and Bethel.
In addition to his widow, the former Katherine Young, he leaves six sons, Frank and Bruce, both of Ansonia, Conn.; Timothy, Kevin, Daniel and Ralph, all of Bethel; a grandson; four brothers, James of Altamont, N.Y.; Richard and Kenneth, both of Castleton, N.Y.; and John of Meriden, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Hurley and Treesa Lorette, both of Bennington, Mrs. Rose Mason of Seymour, Conn., and Mrs. Geneva Paddock of Hopkinsville, Ky.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4, and that evening for a half-hour before the service.
