Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ava.
Mr. Adams was a member of Local 372 of the Laborers' Union in Herrin and of the Herrin Eagles Lodge 1549. He was a World War II veteran.
He was born May 1, 1923, in Ava to John C. and Eunice Paron Adams.
He married the former Regina Dotzon April 1, 1977, in Marion. She survives.
Other survivors include Mr. Adams' mother, of Ava; son Thomas Allen Adams of Steeleville; brothers Joseph Adams of Troy, Ill, and John C. Adams Jr. of Pocahontas, Ark.; step-daughters Mary Lyell, Debbie Gregge and Louise Jackson of Energy, Pamela Robinson of Mount Vernon and Violet Rank of Joliet; step-sons Kenneth Dotson of Energy and Roger Dotson of Marion; and 16 grandchildren.
