O. H. Collins
O. H. Collins, 87, died at General Hospital at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday after several years of declining health and a serious illness of four days.
He was the son of the late Joe and Jane Knight Collins.
He is survived by seven sons, B. J. of Albany, Ga., J. J. of Woodruff, T. J. and E. H. of Asheville, N. C., L. E., W. J. and P. R. Collins of Spartanburg; seven daughters, Mrs. T. A. Weir of California, Mrs. Robert Bailey of Reidville, Mrs. Annie Huckaby of Moore, Mrs. Robert Alexander of Peidmont, Mrs. Lizzie Bullman, Mrs. J. L. McCarter and Mrs. Lillian Center of Spartanburg, also 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 1:00 p.m. at the I. F. Seay Mortuary by Revs. C. L. Boyter, Timothy Hottel and Dr. Phillip Martin.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Roebuck.
Grandsons will serve as pall bearers. The body is at the mortuary and the family is at the home of J. J. Collins, Woodruff Route.
