Funeral services for Katherine "Kat" Jefcoat of Poplar Creek will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with burial following in the Bethel Cemetery near Kilmichael. Rev. Jerry McNeer will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Monday, October 24, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jefcoat died of heart failure at her residence on Saturday, October 22. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Jefcoat was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie Campbell Robinson, and the widow of the late Percy Jefcoat. She was a retired factory worker and waitress and a member of Community Baptist Church near Kilmichael.
Survivors include her daughter, Pat Ramage; son, Larry Jefcoat; sisters, Ann Boyette and Sue Vaughan; two grandchildren, Tammy Page and Traci Scheurer and her husband, Steve; four great-grandchildren, Jazmin Ramage, Talon Page, Joshua Page, and Bryce Scheurer; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister, Dessie Jefcoat.
Pallbearers will be Billy Michael McClurg, Guy Stanford, Mike Rosamond, Gale Rogers, Brad Green, and Kenny Britt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Scheurer, Herman Bagwell, Basil Palmertree, Tom Wade Palmertree, Talon Page, and Joshua Page.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 196 Charmant Drive, Suite 4, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
