He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Cresaptown Senior Citizens.
He first married Emma Mary Foye on 2 May 1933 in Mineral County, West Virginia, when they were both 21 years of age. When she passed away he married widow Dora Densock. She died in Seattle, Wa. area after traveling across the country. They left our house in Southern Calfiornia & she died a few days later. # 3rd wife was widow Virginia F. Shank Getson.
Charles liked to travel and enjoyed going to baseball games. Charles's siblings were James Edwin, William John, Thomas Alvin, Harry O'Neil Chappell.
He was the son of William Henry Chappell and Martha O'Neil.
He had no children. He treated his nieces and nephews like his own children.
We enjoyed Uncle Charlie's 2 visits to us in Southern California.
