My information was from the Baily Genealogy published by Gilbert Cope in 1912 (abt 700 pages long!)
Also notice that his older sister Louisa was born in Nov 1815. If Jesse 's birth was in May of 1816, Louisa would have been about 6 or 7 months old when he was born. Highly unlikely.

Jesse and wife Margaret C (Moreland) Baily had 8 children. The children not found on FindaGrave were:
Jessie H Baily (1855-bet 1917 & 1920). She married first Pierre B. Wheeler in 1876. He died 8 months later. In 1878 she married Charles Fred Harvey. They lived in Chicago and had 3 children: Blanche Nelly, Walter E, and Emerson B Harvey.
Anna Baily (1860-1893). She married Arthur D Holbrook in 1887 in North Twp, Delaware Co, IA. They had 3 children: Martha Lucile, Dale F, and Margaret Alton. She and her husband are buried in Mt Hope Cemetery in Dyersville, Dubuque Co, IA.
Walter Lloyd Baily (1863-1900). He married Carrie A Chesterman in 1885 in Dyersville, Dubuque Co, IA. They had one daughter Louisa Mae, born in LeMars, Plymouth Co, IA. Walter is supposedly buried in Mt Hope Cemetery in Dyersville.
