Eva Henslee was born June 10, 1932 in Willow, Oklahoma to George Allen Wootton and Jessie Ray Moore. She passed away September 30, 2011 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 20 days.
Eva grew up in Willow, Oklahoma and attended school in Ocinea. She was married to Earl Dean Henslee, Sr. at the First Methodist Church in Pampa, Texas on October 22, 1949 at the age of 17. After their marriage, Eva continued to go to school graduating in 1953. In 1965, Eva and Earl moved to Lawton where Earl taught at Cameron University. In 1967 they moved to Illinois where she continued her education at Joliet Junior College obtaining her associates degree in 1969. In 1987 they both retired and spent many winters in Florida and traveled extensively. Eva was a caring and giving woman spending her time volunteering at the VFW and the Thrift Store. She also enjoyed crocheting, crafts and making tavern boards and spending time with friends and family.
She was a member of Elk City United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Harry Wayne Henslee and Michael Lee Henslee; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Earl, of the home; 1 son, Earl Dean Henslee, Jr., Elk City, OK; 2 daughters-in-law, Sheryl Henslee, Medina, OH, Sara Dir, Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandsons, Kevin Henslee, Medina, OH, Brian Henslee, Columbus, OH, Adam Henslee, Medina, OH, Jason Henslee, Henderson, NV; 2 great granddaughters, Corinne April Henslee, Medina, OH, Ellen Kendall Henslee, Medina, OH; step mother, Dorothy Maude Wootton, Willow, OK; 1 half brother, George Wootton; 2 half sisters, Modene Wootton, Laura Wootton, all of Oklahoma City, OK; special niece, Irma Lou Strickland, Duncan, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Service:
Services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Elk City United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Canute Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
