Albert Atherton, 77, of 731 W. Monroe Street died 11:25 Sunday (2/22/1970) in Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Douglas Ave. United Methodist Church, Sangamon County Historical Society and Lincoln Home Collector's Club. Mr. Atherton was a retired picture framer, having worked 35 years at McDonald's and recently at Winchester's.
Surviving are his wife, Stella; two sons, Albert H. and Robert B., both of Springfield; one brother, Roy, of Walnut and four grandsons.
Services in Bisch Memorial Home. Reverend Dale Catlin will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
