WESTBY, Wis. - Jarvis L. Aalgaard, 65, Westby, died Wednesday, April 20, in La Gosse Lutheran Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1918, to Ludvig and Ellen (Lee) Aalgaard. A World War II veteran, Aalgaard had served in the Army for 22 years. He was a member of the Coon Valley American Legion Post and the Viroqua Veterans of Foreign Wars. Aalgaard was employed at the Westby-Coon Valley State Bank for 18 years and had been a crossing guard for the city of Westby. He was a Boy Scout leader in Westby for 20 years, from 1963 to 1983.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Milnor (Elizabeth) Bekkum of Westby; one brother. Lee of Coon Valley; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p m. in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Westby. The Rev. LeRoy Nevin will officiate and burial will be in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from noon until the services. Vosseteig's Funeral Service, Westby, is in charge of arrangements.
