Aaron J. Flory, 58, rt. 4, Defiance, died at 4:30 a.m. today in Defiance City Hospital, where he had been taken Monday evening by the city rescue squad after suffering a heart attack. he was stricken while working on a tractor in the field at his farm home.
A son of Eli and Sarah (Rupp) Flory, he was born in Defiance Nov. 20, 1906. He had spent his entire life in this vicinity, attending local schools.
He was a member of the North Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren.
He and Thelma Allen were married Sept. 1, 1934 and spent their entire married life on the North Richland tp. farm.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Elmer and Arthur, both of rt. 4, Defiance; two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Leonard (Florence) Kuhn, rt. 4, Defiance, and a brother, Ben H. Flory, rt. 4, Defiance. His parents and a brother, Albert, preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Walter Westrom, pastor, in the Poplar Ridge Church at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
