He first settled at Ipswich MA,but later moved to Topsfield.
He was born about 1618 (deposed on 22 Jun 1660 "aged abt, 40 years;" deposed on 27 Jun 1665 "aged about 46 years;" deposed on 30 Mar 1669 "aged about 50 years."
He married (1) by about 1648 Priscilla Gould, daughter of ZACHEUS GOULD {1639, Weymouth}. "Presilla, wife of John Wiles," died at Topsfield on 16 Apr 1663. They had 8 known children.
He married (2) at Topsfield, 23 Nov 1663, Sarah Averill. "Sarah Wildes" deposed on 26 Nov 1679 "aged about 50 years." They had one child before she was hanged as a witch at Salem on 19 July 1692:
EPHRIAM: b. Topsfield, __ Feb 1665/6; m. Topsfield 18 Mar 1689, Mary Howlett, daughter of Samuel Howlett.
He married (3) at Topsfield, 26 Jun 1693 Mary (____) Jacobs, widow of George Jacobs, who had been hanged as a witch at Salem on 19 Aug 1692.
He died at Topsfield 14 May 1705.
John was brother of WILLIAM WILD {1635, Ipswich}.
