A native of Laurel County, Clemma was the daughter of Charles Logan and Lillie Ann Chesnut Hibbitts. She married James "Ed" Helton in Laurel County on 9 June 1928 and he preceded her in death on 2 April 1966.
She is survived by five children; Ruby Jean (Roy) Lewis, Grace Hocker, Lois Deane Strunk, Charles Albert (Ethel) Helton and Stanley Edward (Jo Ann) Helton; a sister, Lou Asher; 12 grandchildren; Donny Lewis, Ruth Hocker Coffey, Paul Houser, Debra Houser Kendrick, Michael Houser, James Helton, Lorene Helton Sizemore, Joyce Helton Hillard, Elaine Helton Shannon, Charlene Helton, Jennifer Helton Hansen, and Penny Helton Noe and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, Clemma was preceded in death by her sister Nellie Watkins and brothers, Ben C., Luther E. and Leslie E. Hibbitts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Visitation Friday at 6:30 p.m.
