Janice Hunsicker died from injuries she sustained in a car accident on her way back with friends from an athletic meet in Minden, LA. The car she was a passenger in failed to stop at an intersection at Fairfield Avenue and Wilkinson Street in the Highland area and was hit by a truck. Her three friends in the car only had minor injuries.

FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR MISS HUNSICKER.

Funeral services for Miss Janie Hunsicker, 19 years old, of 1543 Stevens avenue, who died Thursday night as the result of injuries in an automobile accident Wednesday night, will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Central Christian church, the Rev. E. L. Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood cemetery under the direction of the Ahearn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers at the funeral will be members of the Christian Endeavor society as follows: Hugh Sneed, Odie Mhoon, Dan Dodez, Joel Boatright, Ray Trusty and Gordon Voight.
The deceased was born and reared in Shreveport and had resided during recent years with her grandmother, Mrs. Clara Bland. She was a granddaughter of the late Henry Hunsicker. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hunsicker, Jr. died several years ago.
