Hazleton Standard-Speaker, Nov. 18, 1968:
Mrs. Myrtle S. Strang, a guest at the Lutheran Home, this city, for the past five months, died Saturday at 6:10 pm at the Home. She was born in this city, daughter of the late J. Adam and Ida Weaver Gicking, and formerly resided in Haddon Heights, N.J. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Her husband, Edwin C. Stang, died in 1963, and she is survived by two sisters: Mrs. J. Albert (Ruth) Gebhardt and Mrs. Harvey (Vivian) Walck, this city; one niece, Miss Doris Gebhardt, Willow Grove; and one nephew, Robert G. Gebhardt, this city.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 am from the Bachman and Rosenstock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry F. Fairman officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
