"Services for James Thomas Bingham, 95, of Frankfort will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel Friday, September 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Napier officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County.
He died Tuesday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
A native of Franklin County, he was born January 13, 1913. He was a shoe cutter for General Shoe and retired after 47 years of service. Mr. Bingham was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by three sons, Elwood Bingham (Irene), William Calvin Bingham (Barbara), Paul Douglas Bingham (Irma); one daughter, Claudia Younger; two brothers, Charlie Bingham, Forrest Bingham, all of Frankfort; fourteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lula Lynn Bingham; his son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Laura Faye Bingham; two brothers, Leon Bingham and Claude Bingham; three sisters, Ada Connelly, Myrtle Galbraith and Berta Elizabeth O'Brien. He was the son of the late James and Pearl Sexton Bingham.
Active bearers will be Harold Bingham, Brian Bingham, Richard Wayne Bingham, James Thomas Bingham, Nathan Campbell and Kristian Campbell. Honorary bearers will be Clarence Bingham Jr., Barry Bingham, Billy Wayne Bingham and Kenny Campbell.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
