Mrs. Flowers was born May 6, 1931, in Fort Worth, the daughter of Calvin H. and Dovie Nelson Byrd. She married Zollie E. Flowers on Jan 9. 1949 in Wellington. Mrs. Flowers ran the family fruit and vegetable business around Lampasas for many years.
She was an artist and was very active in Lampasas Art Gallery. Mrs. Flowers also was active in church work at Lometa United Methodist Church where she was a member and played in the bell choir.
Survivors include her husband, Zollie, of Lampasas; five daughters, Judy Carol Robinson and husband, Bill, of Round Rock, Lynda J. Smith and husband, Evan, of Las Vegas, Nev., Cathy J. Flowers of Nix, Patty Jo Morrow and husband, John, of Burnet, and Jackie Lee Smith and husband, Russell, of Pflugerville; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at United Methodist Church, Lometa.
