Utha M. Wrage, 82, of Grand Island died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Tiffany Square Care Center. Utha was born Feb. 16, 1929, at Alda to Emil and Frieda (Neubert) Spiehs.
Utha married Elmer Wrage on June 14, 1949, in Grand Island. He preceded her in death.
Survivors are: daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie Brouillette of Fremont and Jolene and Steve Hudnall of Chapman; grandchildren, Kristen (Mike) Larsen of Fremont, Tyler Brouillette, Dr. Chad (Kara) Hudnall, Jill (Blake) Corman, and Megan Hudnall; four great-grandchildren, Paige Larsen, Jenna Hudnall, Abby Hudnall, and Macy Corman; and nephews, Dale A. Spiehs and Randy Spiehs.
Utha was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. She was raised in Alda and attended District 6 Country School through the 8th grade. She attended Grand Island Senior High School, graduating in 1946.
Utha worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads until her retirement in 1991.
Utha was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, the Platt-Duetsche and the American Legion Club.
Utha also was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior and Dale and his wife, Twila Spiehs; and son-in-law, Greg Brouillette.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island, NE.
