LYONS - Esther Edith Alderman, 92, died July 12, 1992, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River.
She was born Jan. 11, 1900, at rural Lyons, the daughter of Henry R. and Ida M. Nodurft Ball. A lifetime Rice County resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Barthea Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and the Lyons Women's Club, all at Lyons.
On Aug. 26, 1920, she married Donald Alderman at Lyons. He died March 17, 1976.
Survivors include: three sons, Charles and Les, both of Lyons, and Willis, Denver; a daughter, Margaret Manos, Lyons; two sisters, Clara Blakely and Jennie Smith, both of Lyons; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, with the Rev. Eugenia Fultz presiding. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons.
Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church, Lyons, or to the Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, both in care of the funeral home.
