Mr. Dove entered the joy of his Lord on Friday, August 19, 2010 at Providence Hospital, Columbia. He was the husband of Regina Gail Dove and the son of the late Clarence L. and Julia Mae Odom Dove, Sr. He was born in Winnsboro on June 15, 1926 and was a proud retired veteran of both the US Navy and the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Dove served as Chief of Police in Ridgeway. He was an active member of Stephen Greene Baptist Church. He loved and was dearly loved by his family.
In addition to his wife, Regina, Mr. Dove is survived by six sons, Jeff Michael Dove, Sr., Henry Adams, Dean Anthony Floyd, Thaddeus Patten Floyd, George Jason Floyd; four daughters, Julia Ann Dove, Regina Lurri Wright, Shannon Floyd-Baughman, Dawne Floyd Burroughs; one sister, Mary Dove Hackle; his mother-in-law, Frances D. Brown; 24 grand children and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Dove was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence L. "Junior" Dove, Jr., and Hurbert Dove.
