Linda (Klehm) Lampe, 57, wife of Glenn Lampe, passed away October 19, 2011 at her residence in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2011 in Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin, with Lay Minister Ken Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Linda was born December 18, 1953 in Brenham to Willie F. Jr. and Ora Nell Ludwig Klehm in Brenham. A graduate of Brenham High School, she married Glenn Lampe on March 21, 1970. She was employed by Brenham I.S.D. as a food service manager, and developed a close relationship with both students and staff.

Linda's family was very important to her. She enjoyed reading, and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Linda was a loving and giving person. She loved to cook, and was famous for her apple pies. Hershey kisses were staple items, and she always kept an ample supply on hand. Her close companion was her beloved dog, Minnie Mouse.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Lampe of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law Chantel and Reynaldo Torrez, Jr., and Crystal and Curtis Martin, all of Brenham; brothers Larry Klehm and wife Karen and Jimmy Klehm of Brenham; grandchildren: Chase Martin, Colton Martin, Kristen Torrez, Kailey Torrez, and Joshua Torrez. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Seth Klehm, Jesse Klehm, Stan Spaulding, Gary Haack, Gene Goerlitz, Ronnie Klehm, Jason Goerlitz, Al Cardenas and Robert Brown. Honorary pallbearers are members of Brenham Child Nutrition, especially Brenham Middle School, Brenham Jr. High and the office staff.

Memorials may be directed to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin or Hospice Brazos Valley.
