Mrs. Emma Bangs of Box Elder Dead

The funeral services of Mrs. Emma Bangs of Box Elder took place yesterday from the Holland chapel, the Rev. Frank White of the Baptist church officiating.

Emma DeLong Banks, daughter of James and Elizabeth Fair DeLong, was born in Allen county, Ind., Oct. 6, 1851. She was united in marriage to John H. Bangs of DeKalb county, Ind., Jan. 21, 1869.

Immediately after marriage the couple moved to Gratiot county, Mich., and as pioneers of that country, wrested a sustenance and home from the hitherto unbroken forests where they resided until 1904 when they removed to Montgomery county, Kansas.

They resided there eight years and from there came to Hill county in 1912, where they have since resided.

Early in her youth Mrs. Bangs united with the United Brethren church. After removal to Kansas she united with the Methodist church.

There were four children born to Mr. and Mrs. Bangs, Mrs. Cora Cook of Indiana, Mrs. Leota Durkee of Michigan, and Mrs. Estella Neoms and R. H. Bangs of Box Elder. They were all present at the beside of their mother when the end came.
