"Nancy J. Bakalar Walton, 72, died Friday, October 21, 2011 in her home following a short illness. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 24 at the Christ United Methodist Church by Rev. Steven Hubbell. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday at the Hrabak Funeral Home.
She is survived by daughters, Kim (Tom) Hinschberger and Sheila (Pat) Bevins, both of Belle Plaine, Betsy (Butch) Mitchell and Brenda (Jim) VanOtegham, both of Victor; sisters, Eve (Harold) Repp of Aurora, IL, Marge (George) King of Lake Havesau, AZ, Peg (Sonny) Walker of New Sharon, Lynda (Kenny) Shilling and Bev (Ray) Ragan, both of Oskaloosa; brothers, John (Jane) Bakalar of Grand Junction, CO, Paul (Debbie) Bakalar of Albia, Tom (Violet) Bakalar and Ralph (Carolyn) Bakalar, both of Newton; grandchildren, Joe and Jamie Hinschberger, Amy (Mark), Andrew (Nikki), Jacob and Jessica VanOtegham, Sierra (Justin), Tiffany and Grant Bevins, Heather (Andy) Walton and Zachary Beatty; great-grandchildren, Kean and Kale Campbell, Case Elm, Ryleigh Jones, and baby expected in January.
