U.S. Congressman. Born the nephew of Civil War Union Brigadier General Charles H. Grosvenor, he graduated from the law department of Ohio State University, in 1899, was admitted to the bar and commenced the practice of law in Columbus, Ohio. Moving to New York, in 1903, he continued to practice law and was e lected as a Republican to the Sixty-seventh Congress, serving (1921-23). After his term, he resumed the practice of law and was chairman of the Alcohol Beverage Control Board of New York City, (1934-70).
