Douglas Dee Mitchell (May 23, 1950–Jan. 15, 1980)

Douglas Dee Mitchell, 29, of 2350 Liberty, was killed in an automobile accident Tuesday, Jan. 15, 1980, in Rock Springs, Wyo.

Mr. Mitchell was born May 23, 1950 in Ogden, a son of A. De Mar and Barbara Bonham Mitchell.

He was married to Sherrie Voss in June of 1969 in Layton. They were divorced. He was later married to Carol Vivian.

He was a carpenter in construction work and had lived most of his life in the Ogden and Clinton areas.

He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1968 and attended Weber State College.

He was a member of the LDS Church. He had played with various musical groups in the Ogden area.

Surviving are his widow of Ogden; two daughters, Brooke Mitchell, Long Beach, Calif.; Tres Mitchell, Ogden.

Also surviving are his parents of Clinton; one brother, Mark Mitchell, Clinton; one foster brother, Andrew Watchman, Clinton; four sisters, Mrs. Joel D. (Sondra) Walton, Albuquerque, N. M.; Mrs. Stephen D. (Lorraine) Roskelley, Orange Park, Fla.; Mrs. Mark (Joan) Palmer, Syracuse; Miss Jennifer Mitchell, Clinton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist Clearfield Mortuary Chapel, 1050 S. State, with Bishop Val D. Beus of Clinton 4th Ward officiating.

Interment in Clinton City Cemetery.
