NOEL - Jo Lee Tadlock, 67, a former Carthage resident, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999 in North Hollywood, California after a long illness.
Ms. Tadlock was born February 11, 1932 in Carthage. She moved to Noel from southern California in 1974.
She was co-owner of Benton County Storage, Gravette, Arkansas for several years. She had been a feature writer for Current Newspapers, Southwest City. She was a member of the first All Women's Band in the U.S. Air Force.
While in California she managed a professional women's softball team, was an executive with Forest Lawn, worked as an interior decorator and photographer. She was an avid animal rights supporter.
Immediate survivors include two sisters, Velma Boyer-Hathcox, Battleground, Washington and Twyla Tadlock-Dunn, Carthage.
Private graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 2:30 to 3:30 today at Ulmer Funeral Home.
Contributions may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, National Wildlife Federation and the Human Society of the United States.
Arrangements are pending with Ulmer Funeral home.
