Arthur Guy Adams, son of Thomas P and Mary Frances Edlen Adams, was born near Kahoka, Missouri, February 5, 1885 and passed away at his home in Kahoka December 7, 1961, aged 76 years, 10 months and 3 days. He was married to Sarah J Price December 18, 1907 by Rev J C Bennet at Kahoka, and they observed their 50th wedding anniversary December 18, 1957. He was a member of the Kahoka Christian Church, a kind and loving husband, always patient and considerate, striving ever to live a Christian life. He was an industrious and energetic nature, a true friend and a good neighbor, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife, who so tenderly cared for him, and his relatives and many friends. He was judge of Clark county court eastern district 1935-1936 and always interested in the betterment of his community. He is survived by his wife, four brothers, W T Adams, Lonview, Texas, A R Adams, St Joseph, Mo, Harry Adams, Woodville, Texas, and Luther Adams, Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs Eula Lindsey and Mrs Lenna Watts of Mabank, Texas and one aunt, Mrs Nora Sherwood, nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by parents and one brother ... Adams of Mabank, Texas. Funeral services services were from the Kahoka Christian church on Sunday, December 10, conducted by the pastor, Rev Richard Golden, Mrs C Gutting sang, accompanied by Mrs Kathleen Fountain.
