Thomas married Adeline on August 15, 1850 in Lamar County, TX. They had four sons and three daughters. Thomas was a blacksmith.

The 1860 census states that Thomas, Adeline and their children were all born in Missouri.

Thomas was a Private in the 19th Regiment of Buford's Texas Calvary of the Confederate Army. He was mustered in at Hillboro, Texas on March 28th, 1862.
