Marc A. Apodaca, Jr., 12, of Thornton passed away on February 8, 2008. He was born on October 2, 1995 to Marc Apodaca, Sr., and Lynette McCarty in Wheat Ridge.

Marc attended 6th grade at the Shadow Ridge Middle School in Thornton.

Marc was a kid with a big heart. he enjoyed Tae-Kwondo a was a red belt working on his black belt. He enjoyed snow boarding with his friends, playing basketball in Thornton and also enjoyed fishing and playing video games. Marc had a sense of humor and loved being in school. He was always considered an A+ student. He took honors classes and loved his family dearly.

Marc is survived by his parents Marc and Lynette Apodaca and sisters Alexis and Mikayla Apodaca of Thornton; maternal grandparents Walter and Mary McCarty of Thornton; paternal grandmother Elsie Apodaca of Raton, NM; paternal great-grandmother Delores Bustamante of Manzanola, CO; uncles Ace Apodaca of Thornton; and aunts Avis Gallegos of Thornton and Rochelle McCarty of Seattle, WA.

Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 5-8pm at the Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11am and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12pm at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton.
