Walter L. Corbin, 79, of Bargersville, passed away October 20, 2011. He was born May 15, 1932 in Indianapolis to Louis and Crystal Corbin.

Walter served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was President for Scherer Industrial Group having retired in 1995. Walter was a member of Indianapolis and Greenwood Rotary, Southport Lodge #442 F.&A.M., the Murat Shrine, the Scottish Rite, and the past president of the Indiana Chapter of Electrical Apparatus Service Association.
He had many hobbies including fishing in Florida and Canada; Walter was also a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying his Cessna 206.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Virginia Corbin; children, W. Randall Corbin, J. Alan Corbin, Jenny F. (John) Schmitz; sister, Brenda Handrick; brothers, Keith Corbin, Douglas Corbin; grandchildren, Aaron Corbin, Lorin Corbin, Alissa Sandoz, Alexandra Schmitz, Autumn Schmitz, Corbin Schmitz, Palmer Schmitz; great granddaughter, Ava Corbin.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 23 at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at the Gardens at Olive Branch.

He will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
