Billy Glen Salyers, 62, of Ashland, Kentucky, husband of Deanna Robinette Salyers, died Thursday morning at his residence following an extended illness.
Billy was born March 11, 1949, at Greenup County, Kentucky, a son of Conard Salyers of Ashland, Kentucky and the late Pauline Rice Salyers.
Billy was a former Machinist with McCorkle Machine Shop and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father include a daughter, Kasey Salyers of Ashland, KY., a brother, Roger Salyers of Ashland, two sisters, Debbie Blair and Helen Barney of Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at at the Preston Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pennsylvania Furnace Cemetery on Culp Creek in Greenup County.
Visitation wil be from noon until service time.
