David Edwards Walker, 82, of near Soperton, died last Friday morning at his home. He was a prominent farmer, a Mason and a member of the Harmony Lodge. He was married to Miss Georgia Thigpen in 1893. He had been ill for about seven months.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Henry Thompson of Ailey; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at 3 P.M. at the Red Bluff Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were grandsons, James, Albert and Feltman Walker, Edward, Wade and Alec Thompson. The rev. W.H. Green of Mt. Vernon and Rev. J.J. Winburn of Soperton officiated.
