Leslie Gale was raised with his siblings in East Peoria, Illinois, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and owned his own welding business, as well as retired from Caterpillar, Inc.
After marrying and raising his own children in East Peoria, Illinois, "L.G." (a.k.a. Gale) retired to Old Town, Florida with his wife, Maralee Alys (a.k.a. MaryLee Alice) Taylor Bechtel, who was born and raised in Peoria, IL.
His love for his family was evident always, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed motorcycles, travel and a wide variety of pets as well as numerous hobbies, was very active in his church, and never, ever met a stranger. He is deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
