Helen I. Beck, age 79, of Shadyside, formerly of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, Ohio.
She was born May 23, 1925 at Pipe Creek, Ohio, daughter of the late Dwight H. (D.H.) Christy and Estella Willison Christy.
Helen was a retired sales representative for World Book Encyclopedia and Shaklee Vitamins; a homemaker; and a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Beck; a son, Jerry Beck; and six brothers, Merritt, Kenneth, Guy, Carl, Bernard and Denzil Christy.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Cindy) Bickmeier of Shadyside, Ohio; a son, Edwin Beck of Canal Winchester, Ohio; three sisters, Beulah Bernosky of Dilles Bottom, Vera (Wallace) Perry of St. Clairsville and Shirley Crall of Rittman, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Don Perks officiating.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
