Iva W. NELSON, 73, 10589 S. Hoosier Ave., Silver Lake, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
Born in Fulton County to Harold and Mary LEECH VanDOREN, she married Dick J. NELSON May 16, 1959, in Fort Wayne. He survives.
Mrs. Nelson was a secretary at Sonoco Products, Akron, for 41 years. A member of Sonoco Old-Timers Club, she enjoyed bird watching and genealogy.
Surviving with her husband, at home, are one brother, Byron VanDOREN and wife Joyce, Akron, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were her parents and one brother, Bill VanDOREN.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be at Akron Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
