EMINENCE, KY., Aug 21, - E V Berry, 73 years old, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Arey Miles, Thursday night at 1:30 o'clock. Mr Berry suffered a fall from the roof of a barn Tuesday, but his injuries were not considered serious until Thursday morning, when peritonitis set in.
Mr Berry never married and had made his home with his niece for the past ten years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had followed the trade of carpenter.
He is survived by one brother M O Berry of Louisville; four nieces, Mesdames. Arey Miles, E R McGinnis, of Akron Ohio; Stapp Mitchell, of Columbia, Ky and Miss Sue Gardner: two Nephews George and Ellis Gardner.
Funeral services were held at the grave Saturday morning, the Rev Bush, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Eminence cemetery.
