THE SOPERTON NEWS Nov. 18, 1971 Mrs. Julia Conaway, 98, Savannah, died in a Vidalia Nursing Home Tuesday night, Nov. 9, after a long illness. Mrs. Conaway was born and reared in Montgomery County and had lived in Savannah for 25 years. She was a daughter of the late Nathan Adams and the late Julia Davis Adams. She was married to the late Acie Conaway. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Nov 11, with the Rev. Carl Knowles officiating. Burial was in the Nabb Cemetery in Montgomery County. Pallbearers were Larry Smith, Wayne Smith, Leon Roberts, Douglas Brooks, Roy Smith and Billy Smith. Julia's brother, Nathan A. Adams Jr. died in 1961 and he's buried in the Nabb Cemetery, too.
