Final rites for Mrs. Daisy Lillian Sumner Faucette, 83, of the Deep Creek Community, Rt. 3, Burlington, were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Mrs. Faucette died Sunday morning at 2:45 o'clock at her home following two years of declining health and one month of critical illness. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Loy Sumner. She was the wife of the late Sherwood L. (Shack) Faucette. Survivors include two sons, Willie Lee Faucette of Rt. 3, Burlington, and Kenneth E. Faucette of Randleman; two brothers, Clifton Sumner of Burlington and Willie Sumner of Reidsville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The Rev. Winfred Bray, pastor of Union Ridge United Church of Christ, conducted the service. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
