Final rites for Sherwood L. (Shack) Faucette, 85, of Rt. 3, Burlington, were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Rich and Thompson Chapel. Mr. Faucette died Saturday night at 7:10 o'clock at his home after two weeks of critical illness. He had been in failing health for seven years. A native of Alamance County, he was a retired farmer in the Deep Creek Community. He was the husband of Mrs. Daisy Sumner Faucette, who survives, and was the son of the late William Faucette and Mrs. Catherine Blanchard Faucette. Surviving with his wife are two sons, Kenneth E. Faucette of Randleman and Willie Lee Faucette of Rt. 3, Burlington; one brother, Walter Faucette of Rt. 3; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Winfred Bray, pastor of Union Ridge United Church of Christ. Burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery.
