Funeral services for Lum Acrey, 70, who died at his residence after a brief illness, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Long Chapel C.M.E. Church with Rev. R. B. Moody officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Nacogdoches.
Mr. Acrey was born in Nacogdoches, May 12, 1889, lived in Lufkin for 50 years. He was a member of the Long Chapel C.M.E. Church and Order of the American Woodmen.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Mrs. Winnie Perry of Cotulla; sisters, Mrs. Della Tatum and Mrs. Lela Roberts, both of Lufkin, Mrs. Myrtie McNeal of San Francisco, Calif., 2 grandchildren.
