Adam Fishel, a well-known resident of Mountville, was found dead in the cellar of his home on Thursday evening. Mr. Fishel had been missing for several hours, and when a search was instituted he was found lying on the cellar floor. A physician was summoned, but he declared the man had been dead several hours, heart disease being the cause. Mr. Fishel was in his seventy-first year, and is survived by his wife, Mary, and the following children: Mrs. James K. Robinson, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Jacob Gable, of Columbia; John W. Fishel, of Harrisburg, and Harry Fishel, at home. He is also survived by three brothers-Daniel, of Middletown; Harry, of Washington Borough; Abraham, of Lancaster, and five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Funk, of Washington Borough; Mrs. Barbara Hoffstadt, of Millersville; Mrs. Amanda Schopf, of Mountville; Mrs. George Shultz, of Washington Borough; and Mrs. Z. Dritt, of Logansport, Indiana. He was a member of the F.P.A., No. 65, of Mountville, and was a life-long active Democrat. (Lancaster New Era - Nov 13, 1914)
