Harry Herndon Clegg, 90, of 1100 Digby Road, died at 3:32 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, in Home Hospital. He was born May 18, 1911, in Lafayette, and was a life resident. He was an Army veteran, and for 42 years, he was a machine operator for Peerless Wire Co. Mr. Clegg was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed reading and yard work. His marriage was to Frances Rose Lucas on Aug. 28, 1943, in Yuma, Ariz. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol A. Khatter (husband: Gamal) of University Park, Fla.; and one sister, Abbie Nicklas of Orlando, Fla.
