CECIL J. LENT of Chesaning
Age 85, passed away on Friday evening, October 7, 2011 at the Mid Michigan Medical Center, Alma. He was born on June 10, 1926 in Brady Township to the late John H. and Bessie M. (Shuster) Lent. He married Theresa LaClair on January 17, 1948, and she survives him.
Cecil retired from Saginaw Metal Castings in 1980. He also farmed. He was a member of the Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association. Cecil was an avid camper and member of the FCRV and the Polish Pine Campers Club.
Surviving besides his wife, Theresa, are four children, Patricia (Mauricio) Smith, of Texas, James (Kay) Lent, of Saginaw, Cathy (James) Wolinski, of St Charles, and Louise (Chester Bishop) Lent, of Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Lent; nine grandchildren, John (Regina), Angel (James), Felicia (David), Kris (Greg), Violet (Tim), Rebecca, Shawn, Kourtney and Kayla; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Champlin, of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three children, Andrew, Christine and Joseph.
Funeral services were held at the Walker- Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning, on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial was in Griffus Cemetery. www.wmartinfuneralhome.com.
