Ada was born January 4, 1886 in Pulaski, Kentucky, the first-born child of James and Mary (Chaney) Sears. On March 24, 1904, she was married to Oliver Jasper Alexander in Pulaski. Their first child, Mary, was born 1904 in Kentucky, but a few years later, they moved to Oklahoma, where their remaining seven children were born.
Ada and Oliver were divorced after her children were grown. Ada then married Dr. Edward Baker and moved back to Kentucky. Dr. Baker died in 1957 and, apparently, Ada moved back to Oklahoma where she died April 30, 1970.
Her eight children are:
